Reed beds for sewage sludge treatment represent a cost-efficient solution for the local municipality. Limnosolids^® reed bed for sludge mineralisation is built next to a Limnowet® constructed wetland. Sludge is gravitationally gathered in a sedimentation tank where it is being homogenised and forwarded to the reed bed. The water that runs through the filter layer is again gathered in the pumping station and is returned to the constructed wetland for treatment.
